no matter how ugly you think you are, always remember—Hannibal could probably make an absolutely beautiful dish out of you.

Teachers. I love you when you love your kids, and I wish the system wasn’t rigged to make you all hate your jobs.

Wuv ya teachers!

They’re so underappreciated. Yay teachers!

Sweeping legislative changes in the US are making the job even harder, even less about students, and even less rewarding (in any way) for teachers. Good teachers are leaving the profession in the hundreds of thousands. Appreciate the ones you have, because the profession is in danger of becoming a McJob (newbies try it out for a few years before moving on to something livable) instead of a career. And that is exactly what the money behind the changes wants to see leading the class: easily-intimidated, inexperienced people who will not question how and why the public education system is being exploited for private gain. Sorry to rant. I am just angry and worried beyond belief. Our teachers deserve better. More importantly, our STUDENTS deserve better.
